About Me |
|
| Sometimes I play basketball and sometimes I write. Sometimes I'm good at one of those, sometimes I'm good at both of them, and sometimes I'm good at neither. Whichever the case, there is a certain population of the world who enjoys when I do the latter about the former. Of course, there exists another population that would prefer that I never do either. And then there's the rest of the world (approximately 5,999,750,000 people). Those folks are way too busy to care whether I'm writing or playing basketball. Their time is taken up with concerns like a search for potable water, worries over the next malaria outbreak, or the debate between Alba and Biel. (Biel, obviously.) Since those people aren't here, I don't have to worry about pleasing or angering them. For the rest of you, some tidbits: If you aren't hip to the whole myspace thing, and want to send an email, use this address: mysocalledcareer@gmail.com To find the wonderful book pictured below, which chronicles a few years of my life as a professional basketball player, click here ...and then type in my name. For some reason, I can no longer link to my book directly, making this a clunky process. Then again, clunky is what we've all come to expect from myspace. Wasn't that fun? Click here to link to my original Suns blog. Find an article I wrote for Esquire magazine here . An exchange I did with the great Neal Pollack for slate.com here and a piece I did on my own for that website here . And this is a remarkably in-depth wikipedia entry on the cartoon called "Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears". I'm glad I found it; I was struggling to remember the name of that show. |
