She is a classically trained pianist, vocalist and a violinist since age 6. Cat was born in NYC, but grew up most of her life traveling the world w/ her family due to her father's business. When Cat graduated from high-school in Tampa, she began feeling uncertain about her future. That is when Cat packed her bags and began her musical journey as a singer by herself. After moving to about 7 different cities in the U.S., Cat finally found her new home in ATL. Cat made her living by being a music teacher to young kids to follow her foot steps and also being a part-time model. Cat developed her song-writing skills by turning her personal experiences into lyrics and melodies of her songs. Cat earned her degree in music/broadcasting from Georgia State University in 2005. That same year, Cat formed her own band, and named it "The Cat Chang Show." The success of The Cat Chang Show is what made Cat Chang who she is today. Cat has been performing at venues all over ATL as well as overseas. "I simply love making music and performing. But when it touches people other than myself, that is why I feel like why I'm put on this earth. People tell me my music is like a therapy!" Cat thinks she will never stop making music. "This is not about money or fame. I am not trying to be the next Madonna or J Lo. I will not sacrifice who I am just to embark on what people may call as success. I will be making music and performing until I'm dead. This is my utmost passion."Cat is a multi-talented songwriter, dancer and a musician. She writes all of her own songs and co-produces her material. Cat is currently working with a talented producer, Vision, who has worked on pop group B5, singers Mika and Jennie Ortega.
