| English: How do you describe the Age of Sound? As an indie-rock monster? No, monster sounds so negative…indie-rock? Too general... indie-rock-brit-pop-beatles-oasis-sound-connecting-mod-happe ning-on-eight-legs? It’s a whole lot easier to describe a nice tasty red apple than this band from Hamburg/Germany that was founded five years ago. Over the last twelve months Oliver „Hazel Brown“ Vogel (vocals, guitar), Sebastian Gätcke (guitar), Hauke „Wix“ Winkler (bass, cello) and Stefanie „Miss Schmiss“ Cordes had about 30 cheered gigs and made it to the Northern Gemany Final of the Emergenza Festival, the biggest newcomer festival in the world. Besides that they provided the soundtrack to a couple of short movies. But the best way to describe the Age of Sound is probably through their music. You like loud British sounding guitars? Then you should give the Age of Sound a listen! You like catchy tunes that never get out of your head again? The Age of Sound! You like funfair-techno?… Have fun at the fair! ____________________________________________________________ ___________________ Deutsch: Kurze Bandinfo: Wie beschreibt man am besten the Age of Sound? Als Indie-Rock Monster? Nein, Monster klingt so negativ... Indie-Rock? Zu allgemein... Indie-Rock-Brit-Pop-Beatles-Oasis-Sound-verbindendes-Mod-Hap pening-auf-acht-Beinen? Es ist um einiges leichter, einen leckeren roten Apfel zu umschreiben, als diese vor ca. fünf Jahren gegründete Band aus Hamburg. Knapp 80 umfeierte Auftritte konnten Oliver „Hazel Brown“ Vogel (Gesang, Gitarre), Sebastian Gätcke (Gitarre), Hauke „Wix“ Winkler (Bass, Cello) und Stefanie „Miss Schmiss“ Cordes bisher für sich verbuchen. So spielten sie unter anderem im Norddeutschland Finale des weltweit größten Nachwuchswettbewerbs Emergenza, als Vorband der britischen Rock-Band Art Brut, lieferten den Soundtrack zu mehreren Kurzfilmen und bekamen auf großen Radiostationen wie Radio Hamburg, Delta Radio oder Alster Radio Airplay. Im Dezember 07/Januar 08 kam es zur ersten Deutschland-Tour. Am besten beschreiben sich the Age of Sound aber wohl selbst durch ihre Musik. Du magst laute, britisch klingende Gitarren? Dann solltest Du Dir the Age of Sound mal anhören! Du magst Ohrwurm-Melodien, die nie wieder aus Deinem Kopf verschwinden? The Age of Sound!
