KEVIN MAX BIO-
He started singing when he was young. He grew up in Grand Rapids Michigan. He lived on a farm and rode horses and motorcycles. He was adopted as a baby by Max and Elaine Smith, and named Kevin Max Smith. People told him that he should be a professional singer. He became popular in highschool, to a degree, by singing in theatrical productions. He liked the sound of Bryan Ferry and Freddy Mercury's voices. He wrote poetry and enjoyed the lyrics of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. He was fond of watching The Smiths videos broadcast on tv, through Friday Night Videos. He was kicked out of Liberty University. He was fired from every job he ever had, including being a keyboard tech to Eddie DeGarmo. He became a founding member of dctalk. They won lots of awards and sold millions of records. His first solo project was produced by Adrian Belew. He got kicked off of Forefront Records as a solo artist. He wrote poetry and was published a few times. He completed a spoken word project with Adrian Belew and started his own imprint label, Blind Thief. He recieved a Scandanavian Artist award even though he is not Scandanavian. He has been known for speaking very honestly about himself and having strange views. He moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and wrote songs with VanDyke Parks, Mark Hudson and Warren Cuccurullo. He was asked to be the lead singer of Journey and declined. He has toured internationally as a solo artist since 2000. He performed as Joseph in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. He was married in Las Vegas at the Little White Wedding Chapel. He has 2 children by wife, Amanda Lynn Max. He moved back to Nashville in the fall of 2007. He released The Blood, a gospel and blues project, in the fall of 2007. He is currently writing and touring and can be found walking his dogs in East Nashville Tn..
