| Howdy everyone Troll (Gary) here, I'd like to tell you a little about Frogman (Jeff) and myself. I first met Jeff around 1979. I went to hear them practice, after a little tuning and cussin, the noise starts. Oh my God, some of the most beautiful noise I've ever heard. Whoda Thunk it, out of this little basement I was taken away by the sounds of Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Joe Walsh, Ted Nugent, Black Sabbath, and best of all for me Lynyrd Skynyrd. Well after that they couldnt keep me away with a pack of angry pit bulls. Later on after some band changes, Rocket Fuel was formed. I was promoted from roady to soundman and got to sing a few songs on stage. The band called me Gary Van Zant, which I wore as a badge of honor. After another change in personnel, I had made full member playing rhythm guitar, and singing lead and backup vocals. Anywho, thats how me and Frogman (Jeff) became guitar brothers. He always played what was in my heart but not my fingers. Our current project consist of a 3 CD - 10 songs each compilation of original lyrics and music by Frogman and Troll. That is with the help of my sons Jason and Levi. More songs Check it .. |
