I'd like to meet:*Life and music has taken me down many roads. The less they are traveled, the more they beckon:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: *Now in 2007, I've been busy performing and recording with GOLDENSTATE. *I’ve just finished scoring and producing the first book in a series entitled, JUNGLE SLEEEP-LULLABOOKS. The music and book are an ambient quest to help children find rest, relaxation. *This year has also seen shows with In De Goot recording artist, SECRETARY BIRD. They were also featured on the Fox Searchlight Pictures’ Soundtrack, “Fast Food Nation”. *My own cinemusic, ACADEMYCURVE, has been taking over ‘3am’ during any down time in the lush canyons of Silver Lake, CA. *My old friends, EVERYTHING IS ENERGY (aka The Sound i Saw), are releasing their self-titled debut album on The Nest Records. An album on which I played drums also features Thomas Froggatt (She Wants Revenge, VAST) on bass, Dave Krusen (Pearl Jam, Candlebox), and Paz Lenchantin (A Perfect Circle, Zwan). The album was produced by Krish Sharma (The Rolling Stones, Perry Farrell). Previously.................................................. ............................................................ ........................... *GOLDENSTATE had the unique opportunity to record with producer, John Shanks. It was a true pleasure to work with him and chief engineer, Jeff Rothchild, at Henson Studios. *SECRETARY BIRD was busy performing and recording, including several spots at the SXSW Festival in Austin, TX. *I also extended my musical vision by working with THE ZOLLO GROUP led by renowned author and photographer, Paul Zollo. Some of Paul’s literary work includes “Conversations with Tom Petty” and the acclaimed “Songwriters on Songwriting”. *I joined American Records recording artists, PALO ALTO, and worked with them throughout the year. In addition, I was also keeping pace with my own band, THE SOUND I SAW, a band that also featured Unified Theory singer Chris Shinn. I was also caught performing with LA band, HAYES. *Touring with Maverick Records’, THE RISING, was a blast! Not only did we tour the states we also got to tour the sea (on the now famous Rock Boat) as well as appearing on the Sharon Osborne Show. That year I was also performing with the new ‘Toast of England’, ORSON. *My journey to LA began with my long relationship with the band, OURS. The Dreamworks recording artists toured the world and made many TV and radio appearances including ‘The Late Late Show’, Launch, and MTV/MTV2. |
