| Minerva Records was founded in February of 2005 by two ambitious musicians – Filbert and Anjo. The two former band mates from the now disbanded Minerva (the band whose name served as inspiration for the name of the record label) have always had intentions of creating an independent record label by musicians, and for musicians. Even before their band eventually parted ways, they have been setting the blueprints for what would be a dream in the making. They started out small – having only basic, low-end recording equipment while using primitive methods of digital recording. From there, things started falling into place in the proverbial puzzle of their dream. Other bands started to express their interest and eventual intention in joining the label. What started out with two bands now has five bands and two solo performers in their roster. Now the label is constantly evolving through experience and exposure in the music scene through more recordings and various shows that they produce and organize themselves.
