I've had a fascination with fame since I was a child and my first Barbie doll was Barbie and the Rockers; clearly a foreshadow of things to come. I grew up in a musical family who have helped me to appreciate all styles and genres of music. Music is the air I breathe and the blood running through my veins. My first rock concert was Age of Electric and Zuckerbaby on September 20th, in 1997 at my uncle's bar The Millennium in Thunder Bay, ON. I was 13, and my life has never been the same since. From that day on, I found a new respect, appreciation and passion for the Canadian music scene. I think female musicians and performers are inspiring and liberating. Thank you ladies for taking risks, daring to set the standard, and creating new ways to define what it means to be female. You have broken the mold and shattered the stereotype of the glass ceiling, all while striving for the ability to RAWK!!!! Let us remember that MUSIC would not be where it is today without its pioneers; those who have paved the way, and are a source of inspiration.
