Mike Acetate has, for over 15 years, been an integral part of the Sydney music scene. From clubber to DJ, to promotion & production, Mike has covered it all. Firmly grounded with a deep and passionate understanding of solid music and the way it is constructed he constantly delivers seriously ass shake'n DJ sets. As owner of one of Sydney's finest record stores, Acetate Record Bar. Mike is not exactly short on inspiration. His DJ sets are kept fresh and innovative in his own unique way. He has the ability to deliver 3 decks of perfect seamless mixing and programming combined with scratching and sampling every time. Over the years Michael has held residencies at most of Sydney's top clubs and has supported everyone from Carl Cox, John Digweed and Deep Dish to DJ's such as Rasoul, Chris Lum, Jay J & Miguel Migs. Currently you can catch him rocking Candy's Apartment for Sydney's Underground House Night GROUND UNDER & DIRTY HOUSE SESSIONS. As a true touring DJ & Producer, Mike is a regular in cities such as Tokyo, San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas, London and Amsterdam. With his tunes being played by a host of big name DJs worldwide. His recent release Sleepless was huge at this years Miami Music Conference and rated up there with the best by Chicago house legend Roy Davis Jr. Over the years he has formed a strong alliance with Carlos Gibbs, founder of The San Francisco Deep House Project (DHP). Together they have rocked dance floors and party people all over the globe, making him an official member of the DHP crew. Since then Mike and Carlos have been working together to release a stack of music on their DHP label. Mike's current musical project is with Sydney duo TELEFUNKEN. Together they are working on a debut release and will be released on DHP shortly. Mike has gained enormous respect amongst DJ's and party people across the globe and should not be missed!
