The Spanish Hip Hop movement is about to gain a new chapter in its still yet to be told story. Stemming from the west side of Los Angeles California, Souldado, the group made up of two members Site Raw (aka Razón) & DJ RiF (aka El Riflé), is making its debut with a sound and style that is authentic to classic American Hip Hop, while bringing something refreshing and new to the Spanish music world. Launching the group’s campaign is their new Mix Tape called “Amores Perros Vol. 1” which has been made available as a free download to say “Thank You” to all of their friends, family, supporters, and “Perros” that stood by them as they made the transition from the groups that they were formerly members of, into Souldado. The Mix Tape features cameos from modern Latino Hip Hop giants like Omar Cruz, to Veterans of the game like Sick Jacken of The Psycho Realm and Mr. Cartoon as well as an international variety of guest spots from Sekreto (Mexico), MC Mafia (Cuba), THC Crew (Miami) and a few others as well as original production from Sid Roams (Evidence, Prodigy, Dilated Peoples), Javi Lopez (Sick Symphonies, Omar Cruz), and other underground heavyweights. What seems to set Souldado aside from their peers would have to simply be their style. Raised on a healthy diet of true “Golden-Era Hip Hop” like Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Dr. Dre & Snoop, Cypress Hill and Nas, they originally started off making music in English, but after touring together as members of different groups, their bond tightened and DJ RiF began to take notice of Site’s performances, especially when he would rhyme in Spanish. What then started as a side project, soon turned into the full time bran child of the two new partners. Stepping forth with their roots firmly planted in the Los Angeles Hip Hop scene, Souldado is focused on creating a new genre of Spanish-speaking Hip Hop Fanatics who will finally have a group that represents exclusively for them. With support from clothing brands like Dissizit, and Joker Clothing, endorsements from Hip Hop Heavyweights like La Coka Nostra, House of Pain, Sick Symphonies, Soul Assassins, Mr. Cartoon, Estevan Oriol, and Dilated Peoples, plus an insatiable work ethic, be sure that Souldado will be making a place for themselves amongst the most credible names in the world of Real Hip Hop.
