About Me |

| Spiritraiser is a soulful rockband coloured with a whole variety of influences - from all the decades of great rock music. The band was formed in the summer of 2005 in Helsinki, Finland by four old friends and good musicians, sharing the same passion for music and life itself. Mutual sound was found almost instantly, so the band hit the studios to record their first demo, only after a month of playing together. The reception of the demo was overwhelming and the last kick to set this fucker off was given. In the beginning of 2006, our live set was shaped in a solid form, from where the touring could start. Since then, the audience has never been left cold. After feeling the spirit that is present on the stage from the first screaming riff, 'til the last floating note, you will know that this is a true rock band.The year 2007 we sailed in tail-wind. During spring and summer we recorded our debut EP "Handful of Our Soul" with Jeppe Cavonius at Md-Studio, won the first place in national "Emergenza Music Festival" band competition and re-presented Finland at the Nordic finals in Stockholm, Sweden. In the beginning of 2008 we released "Apollo's Child" promo cd and played some shows. One of the songs from our first EP “Handful of Our Soul” was also included in the soundtrack of X-treme: Drifting and Tuning DVD that was released in the summer at Seinäjoen vauhtiajot festival.. Other one was playing in the Tv-spot of the same festival. At the end of the year we released an EP with three new songs. White China Girl, Buddha Monks & Monkeys and Rosy Walls and already it seemed that the year 2009 is going to be a pleasant one for us!The year 2009 has been a busy year for Spiritraiser. The band played their first gig at the legendary Tavastia rock club and released 'Come Rain Of Light' -single. They also participated in a band competion called Radio Rock Starba - from 800 competing bands Spiritraiser was in top 5! The band has been constantly in music media - a lot of media coverage (in web, radio & magazines) and quite a bit of airtime in the radio. .. .. /> .. .. |
