On the back of collective frustration and in need of a fresh approach, Dave, John and Paul formed Metonia in the Spring of 2004. Throwing ideas round a cramped practice space, they succeeded in finding themselves. With influences ranging from Doves, Radiohead and Broken Social Scene, the band achieved a sound built around the quality of their song writing. From soaring choruses to an intimate edginess, Metonia have got the lot. From the beginning Metonia have always been about the live experience. The raw approach to their songs, allowing the band to give themselves completely to the music, has left many an audience stunned.
