Tsugi Issue 4 / Janvier 2008 Mypark, A lui seul le nom du groupe résonne déjà comme un jardin secret. Jardin tout en contraste, sombre et ténébreux, les paroles se murmurent, sensuel et fabuleux, l’univers nous enivre de ces facettes protéiformes. Métaphore d’une vie, pamphlet créatif, leur musique nous arrache ce qu’il y a de plus intime et de plus fort en nous laissant chavirer vers la coïncidence de nos rêves. Les mots mis en forme par des accords à double teinte agissent comme une logorrhée d’émotions et pourraient au premier rythme nous inspirer la naissance d’un nouveau style. Ainsi, l’éloquence de leurs compositions nous invite à la démesure, au vertige, elle exalte le sentiment et provoque un imaginaire tout en nuances, allégorie de la passion exhortant les vapeurs d’une nouvelle écoute. « Seventeen », leur premier single, couverture sonore de la pub « hypnôse » de Lancôme, signe une introduction à leur dédale symphonique en se déclinant sous plusieurs versions (« seventeen or eighteen » « seventeen », et sa version plus rock) et vous confie les mystères d’une nouvelle pesanteur, prélude à l’amour. ////////// My Park 2006 promising electro-rock first maxi seventeenMypark. A garden full of contrasts, dark and shadowy, full of whispered words, sensual and fantastic, a universe which makes us feel heady with its plethora of musical forms. Like a metaphor of someone’s life, like a creative manifesto, their music tears our most intimate and darkest secrets from us, and leaves us trembling when we hear our innermost dreams played back to us. The words, like an emotional stream of consciousness, are moulded by a multi-layered music. When we listen, we feel we are witnessing the birth of a new musical style. We are invited to experience the vertiginous excesses of emotion and passion; we are inspired to discover a new way of listening… “Seventeen”, their first single was the music made famous by the advert for Lancôme’s “Hypnôse”, it marked the introduction to their musical universe, appearing in several different guises (“seventeen or eighteen”, “seventeen”, and the more “rock” version of the same song).
