Music:Retired (health not age) Singer and musician My family are Irish, Welsh, West Country and Nordic. Being Gypsy by blood and rearing (raised mainly on water) there were many folk/ country influences from birth I was raised around a lot of classical The first record I ever bought myself was rock, a single by Status Quo 'What You're Proposin' but it was the B-side I was blown away by 'A B Blues' I'd heard a lot of blues, but none (rock) done on electric guitar, one very impressed 13 year old :) it kick started a quarter century (and still going) love of rock blues Rock: Pink floyd, Led Zep (esp IV) I had a great time growing up in Britain at a time when many of the rock greats were still very active, Queen, Sabbath, Quo, Saxon, Judas Priest Glam: I love the '70's, it was a brilliant time to be growing up and glam rock is still a big hit with me Slade, The Sweet, Marc Bolan I still listen to Country: I grew up with Johnny Cash, Bobby Bare, Waylon & Willie, Don Williams, Moe Bandy, Charley Pride, Earl & Scruggs, all the old school, and still my favourite type, of country musicians Classical: Pachelbel still sends me to a place nobody else can Strauss (both) are also favourites NeoClassical: The combination of rock and classical can be amazing when done well There are very few types of music I dislike |
