| Producer slash DJ slash musician Tommy Trash is one of the biggest names in Australian dance music. Bursting onto the scene just 18 months ago, Tommy has seemingly risen from nowhere to dominate charts and dancefloors alike - and this is only the beginning.Bundaberg prodigy and son of the famous Nev and Nev, Tommy and his signature curls first came to our attention with his debut single, 'Slide.' A funky electro house fusion, ‘Slide’ earned a slot on the holy grail of Australian dance music, the Ministry of Sound Annual 2007. Having a track featured on the Annual is no small feat for even the most established of artists, let alone the newest of new kids on the block - but for Tommy, it was little more than a sign of things to come.Peaking at number five on the Aria Club Chart, ‘Slide’ was only the first of 22 Tommy Trash originals and remixes to date - a remarkable achievement, particularly in such a short space of time. Tracks such as Tommy's internationally acclaimed collaborations with Goodwill (‘It’s A Swede Thing’) and Tom Piper (‘Fuck To The Bass’ and ‘One More’), plus his very own 'Amsterdam EP' and recent top 10 Beatport smash 'Lover Lover', saw Tommy develop a reputation as a formidable producer, and one in high demand for remix work.Such demand, in fact, that Tommy's remix credits already include huge international names such as Tom Novy, Green Velvet, Armand Van Helden, Mickey Slim, Don Diablo and Darbruck and Klein, plus homegrown pop divas Delta Goodrem, The Veronicas and Vanessa Amarossi. At one point, Tommy's remixes even held the number one and two Aria Club Chart slots simultaneously, knocking his remix of Green Velvet’s ‘Shake N Pop’ off the top rung, and replacing it with his killer rendition of Armand Van Helden’s ‘I Want Your Soul’.While his reputation as a producer was growing, so too was the demand for Tommy's skills as a DJ.
