| Hi. I'm Jason, and I play bass. Sometimes upright, sometimes electric. How do I choose? Whatever I feel like I wanna do. Gosh! I currently play around the San Diego area several days a week with The Heavy Guilt, Archie Thompson & The Archtones, Skylar Duran Quartet, Sheila Sondergard, Skirt Alert, The New Moon Flyers, The David Owen Quartet/Trio/Duo, Cashel, Tommy Price & The Stilettos, , Hot Rod Lincoln, Wes Davis and Friends, and Harbor Presbyterian Church (every Sunday, no matter how late my Saturday night gig might go, which might explain why some Sunday mornings I look highly unstable) and various pick-up jazz gigs. Before the move to San Diego, I played in several bands and orchestras around the Chicago and Indianapolis areas: Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra, NWI Youth Symphony, LaPorte Symphony Orchestra, Minor Bluegrass, Porter County, The Flying Waterbuffalo, Ball State University Symphony Orchestra, Muncie Symphony, Flip City, Rhino Jones, BSU Jazz Lab ..1 and Combo ..1, Hot Pants, Skirt Alert, Fighting the Mojo, The Sharp 4, and countless others. I was also adjunct faculty (bass prof.) briefly at Anderson Universty in Anderson, IN. I studied for 5 years with Hans Sturm at Ball State University.One last thing: the 4 recordings I've posted on this page are a tiny fraction of the amount of recordings I've appeared on. I have tons of material in almost all styles, from Bluegrass to Reggae, classical to funk, and everything inbetween. If you're ever interested in obtaining any other music, feel free to contact me.
