About Me

I was ( although I am not anymore of course because I am dead) a British Poet and engraver in the 1700s. I am well known for both my poetry and my artwork today, and happily, my genius in both these feilds is at last coming to light. O, what would I have given for this in life! But no matter. Here at last I am content, kept compn'y by angels.During my life I knew what it was to struggle, to suffer misfortune. I have always been an artist, ever since childhood when my parents allowed me to attend drawing classes. I was then apprenticed to an engraver friend of mine, (a great man Bashire,) and finally attended the royal academy to complete my education in matters of engraving and art.I will tell you without hesitation that I am no mild mannered man, no! I beleive in reform! in equality! in Justice! many of my ideas were quite unacceptable in my day, it was at times quite trying. But one does what one must, when faced with situations that his morals disagree with. I have known what is right, and I am willing to be thrown in jail for saying so.My Wife catherine was the love of my life, and our life together was incredibly happy considering our rather unfortunate financial situation. Sadly, we were also unable to have children. Nonetheless, we were partners in all things, and I will love dear catherine forever. How good it is to have her still by my side! I have always been something of a modern man, although myspace is a stretch even for me. I am glad to be here though, and hope that through my prescence I may continue to enlighten in this current day and age.

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
