È una cattiva sensazione? Non lo sappiamo, ma è l’unica cosa che ti da la facoltà di essere…ciò che vuoi…! Per cui libera il tuo Scumbag!)”Il pop punk party affair THE SCUMBAG (o TS) nasce nell’estate 2006. LALE (voce, chitarra) e DAVE (basso), conosciutisi in una precedente omonima band durante il liceo, diedero vita a una nuova band, reclutando il fratello di Lale STEEVE (Batteria) e un quarto elemento, che lascia presto la band, dopo un concerto ad un festival nel sud italia, dove vengono giudicati tra le migliori live band, per i loro spettacoli e condotte esuberanti), e la registrazione di un demo autoprodotto, have you ever, contenente 8 canzoni in stile punkrock californiano, recensito da alcune riviste web e radio e distribuito sottobanco per il nordeuropa. La band, appena nata, si fionda subito da un palco all’altro, dando importanza ai live più che a qualsiasi cosa. Dai centri sociali, ai pub ai locali. Iniziano la conquista dei palchi subito dopo (anzi, durante…) gli esami di maturità di Dave, nel 2006, a bordo di due stationwagon partendo per alcuni minitour autoprodotti in giro per il norditalia, dividendo backstage e frigobar con i loro supporter. Dopo un 2006 passato ininterrottamente onstage, i TS vengono adocchiati dalla giovane etichetta americana Sliptrick records, affiliata della fat wreck chords di fat mike (nofx), che li mette sotto contratto per la registrazione del loro primo disco, LOAD…AIM…FIRE! una pallottola di 11 canzoni in stile pop punk, tra cui la schizo-romantica “1 day romance”. Load aim fire viene rilasciato nel settembre 2007 in europa, usa e giappone, dopodiché la band sfonda la porta e parte per un tour europeo di 3 settimane, dove lasciano letteralmente il segno con un sold out e conquistando il supporto del popolo europeo. al loro ritorno si associano alla bombooking agency, per incrementare il loro numero di concerti. Un secondo punto di svolta viene stabilito a dicembre 2007, quando Lale, Dave e Steeve decidono di assoldare come quarto elemento JIM (chitarra, cori), la decisione porta la band alla scrittura di nuove canzoni, con un cambio di stile. Dal 2008 vengono ufficialmente sponsorizzati da Gibson, e iniziano il percorso verso un progetto inaspettato. E’ forse ora di puntare lo sguardo verso una nuova era? I TS sono principalmente una live band, con una fortissima e personale attitudine musicale, caratterizzata da un buono e folle spettacolo durante i concerti e un amichevole rapporto con chiunque li sostenga. Tutto questo è potenziato dall'esplosiva energia delle loro canzoni i cui testi raccontano di vita vissuta, di chi ha avuto tutto e chi niente, amore, amori perduti, grandi feste, alienazione e il coraggio di essere se stessi senza prendersi troppo sul serio. L'altra faccia di una medaglia che spesso la gente non vede, o non vuole vedere. Parole in cui la gente riesce a vedere il proprio riflesso. Signore e signori, date il benvenuto ai THE SCUMBAG. Introducing THE SCUMBAG (eng) "The Scumbag is the hyde part of you...the one that give you the force to do what you want and to be yourself. is it a "bad sensation"? we don't know...but it's the one who give people the faculty to be...what you want...! So...Free your Scumbag! :)"The pop punk party affair called THE SCUMBAG (or TS) borns in summer 2006, formed by LALE (vocals, guitar, piano), DAVE (Bass, chorus), STEEVE (drums, chorus) and the ex candy store JIM (guitar, vocals). Lale & Dave, after a punkrock band experience (where they met) resolve to bring to life a new band. They found a drummer, Steeve (Lale’s bro) and a 4th person, who lives soon the band, after a festival in south of itlay where TS has nominee as one of the best live band), and the recording of a d.i.y. e.p. (have you ever…?) made of 8 californian punkrock songs, reviewed from some webzines and local radios, and distribuited (in sly ways) in the north of Europe. The baby band jump from stage to stage, giving 100% of importance to gigs than everything else in a band life, playing from squats to the clubs. Band starts during the school exams of Dave, in 2006, riding two stationwagon and playng some minitour d.i.y. around north of italy and as supporter for big bands, dividing backstages and beers with every new friend along the way, to be well-known and to have fun with their supporter. After a year totally on stage, TS are contacted from the young american label sliptrick records, affiliates of fat mike’s fat wreck chords. They sign a contract for the recording of their first album, LOAD, AIM…FIRE! (2007) a pop punk bullet of 11 songs, including the schizo-romantic song called “1 day romance”, released, day by day, in Europe, usa and japan. The gentlemen hit the road for their first European tour in sept 2007, where they find lots of supporter and a sold out during their way. Change of line up comes in december 2007, when Lale, Dave and Steeve ask to Jim (ex candy store) to join the band. In 2008 TS signs a contract with Gibson and preparing themselves to a new position for the band...time to watch a new era is coming? TS are mainly a live band, full of a personal attitude and characterized of a friendly link with people and their supporter. All of this is boosted by the explosive energy of their song. The lyrics talks about live the life, about who’ve got nothing and everything, lost or crazy love, parties, alienation and the courage to be himself, without seriousness.
