"I very much understood that there was going to be a communication barrier but not a human barrier. Needless to say the treatment was not the best experience I've had and I attributed their lack of understanding of who I was to them learning about me through the media, which is far from who I am. So when I was paid for the job, I refused to use the money to buy something for myself; instead, I invested in what I deemed necessary for the market as well as for Black culture, the I LUV BLACK PEOPLE TEE. The idea is to instill love in the black community so that everyone can love us around the world."
