Brief Bio: Born into a musical family Len began playing the guitar at the age of 8. His father taught him the basic Bar Chord System and Len picked up the rest on his own with the help of friends and teachers along the way. Len has always had a knack for songwriting. He has the ability to get "emotionally" involved until the song is done. "The more a song can make me cry or dance, I knew I had a good song". Len has never written his songs to please others he writes from his heart for his heart. Hopefully that reflects in the music that you hear today. Len's experiences in life parallel most young peoples lives in this world so the music usually strikes an "emotional" chord with most. Len was first discovered playing an acoustic show at a winery in Livermore, California. Len was doing it for fun and the experience at the time never really dreaming of taking it to the levels he has reached so quickly. With only 2 years in Nashville under his belt, Len has already had Billboard Magazine success with his first single release "Country's What I Choose". It topped the Country Single Sales Chart for 8 weeks in 2006. Len doesn't rest on that success, because if he did he would have starved last year! This is a very competitive genre to be part of, luckily he is here for the long haul. He belongs in Nashville, where his heart is. Country music is what he grew up on in the 70's and 80's and the Rock-n-Roll he grew up on is now considered "Classic Rock" so he has influences from both types of music. Len is one of 8 children and is proud of his brothers and sisters. "We had a tough time as kids but it made us what we are today". Len can look back and remember winter nights "with the gas turned off and momma heating up our water on the electric stove so we could take baths". "I am proud of the job my momma and daddy did raising all of us on such little money. I am lucky to be here today doing what I love. I know if my daddy was alive today he would be just as proud of me". CAREER HIGHLIGHTS SO FAR: - 1 with Nielson Soundscan for 8 week period with first single "Country's What I Choose" putting him with the likes of Carrie Underwood - 7 on Billboard Magazine's Hot 100 Single Sales Chart with first single "Country's What I Choose" putting him in the company of Madonna, Nine Inch Nails and Nelly Furtado - Remained in Billboard Magazine Hot 100 Single Sales Chart for 10 consecutive weeks - After Midnight with Blair Garner - Syndicated Country Radio Show - Distributed to 100's of retail music outlets nationwide - Colgate Country Showdown Contestant in Northern California in 2005 - Len plays the guitar as well as sings when performing live - Len is a young "Hot" songwriter in Nashville with a great catalogue of hits. - Len also performs at numerous "writer's" nights in the Nashville area .
