After the “summer of love” in Ibiza in 1989, Bad Ced came back in Paris with the idea to organise parties.The sound should be : Groove-Hip Hop-House & Techno ! The parties took place at “Les Bains”, then at “Le Palace”. Then he founded with dj Sonic, one of the first french electronic label “Omnisonus” (1993)...................................................... ............................................................ ........................................................ As the A&R, he’s in charge of conceptualization of thematic compilations : « France trance ambient - Ambient ceremony - Hypno Techno - Basic Techno (vol.1-2) - Hardcore Fever (vol.1-2-3-4) - French / Detroit & Chicago house fever » ... signing and licensing artists : France / David Duriez - Dj Slave ...International / Moodymann (Kenny Dixon jr) - Rick Wilhite - Theo Parris -Optic Nerve - Christopher Just .During this time, produced tracks under various pseudonyms and was associated with numerous electronic musical groups (H2O-DAX RIDERS-DRUMSTRATEGY...)After Omnisonus was bought by BMG France, the new organisation of the label conflicted with his vision. He decided to sever his ties ,and ,with Olivier Ruel (Dax riders partner) he set up « Subscience »(1998). Based on an urban sound, Dax Riders becomes the main act. At the beginning of the “french touch” wave, WEA France did signed Dax Riders, and release their first LP in 1999.A live tour will follow.The audience quickly claimed dax riders as one of the best french live act. The second LP, “Backintown”(2001), signed on Universal France, will be international succesfull, thanks to the single “People”, now considere as a french house classic. A third Dax Riders LP “HOT”,has been released in 2005, still on Universal France. Then, brings artist such as Lord Kossity, Disiz La Peste, Madame K to collaborate and be produced by Dax Riders.At the same time, Bad Ced is involved in diferents underground electronic bands like Silver Haze with Chris Carrier or later with dj Lullabies on LULLABAD productions & dj mixes... ............................................................ ................................. ............................... |
