| Chrystal Lynn HolmesChrystal Lynn Holmes, a New Jersey native and former class clown is not a novice when it comes to bringing smiles to the faces of others. She is no stranger to television cameras, stages or large crowds. She began performing in front of large crowds at an early age as a classical pianist. Her talents as a pianist have enabled her to obtain the title of Miss Alpha Phi Alpha and Miss O’Fallon 2000 where she has been immortalized in print, her city’s museums and time capsules as the city’s first African American to hold the title.Her college career, took her from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, to
West Virginia State University and finally to the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL). While attending UMSL she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication-Mass Communication with hopes of obtaining an opportunity to work in news media.
She spent the majority of her college career as a reporter and editor for various publications. She soon landed an opportunity with Fox News assisting investigative reporter Elliot Davis for “You Paid for It” reports, then with MTV2 as St. Louis’ Local VJ. Later she became the host of a music video show “Hot Videos,” where she had the opportunity to interview celebrities such as Chingy, Ebony Eyez, Bern Nadette Stanis (“Thelma” from the cast of Good Times) and Mel Jackson of “Soul Food” to name a few.Despite such accomplishments, Chrystal still felt a desire to bring smiles and laughter to those around her. This desire soon led to her decision to begin doing stand-up comedy. She writes her own routines, incorporating all of her talents as a comedienne, orator and musician to bring shocking comedy to stages everywhere. She currently resides in St. Louis, MO.
