Cleverly blending hard rock, urban-edged pop, and electronica with biting social commentary, Calise’s music hits you hard like a steel fist. However, she’s unapologetic, and she’s got enough fight left to last a lifetime. Delivering a sound that is both fresh and uniquely her own, Calise combines crunchy guitars and cutting-edge production with an instantly identifiable vocal that is hauntingly beautiful and completely raw all at once. Calise grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she spent her childhood mostly alone or in the pages of a notebook, finding comfort only in her parents’ vast record collection, which included everything from Mozart to Led Zeppelin. At 11, she picked up the guitar to emulate her father, also a talented musician, and began fusing the melodies she heard in her head with her own poetry and recitations. Now living in Los Angeles and continuing along the same path, Calise is fast becoming a household name, attracting over 13 industry endorsers including Gibson Guitars, Hughes & Kettner Amps, EV Microphones and EMG Guitar Pickups. She has appeared in Guitar World magazine, Blender magazine, and the nationally distributed method book, "How to Succeed as a Female Musician" alongside such notable artists as Lisa Loeb and The Donnas. Her music is being played extensively on MTV and VH1 Networks, and her breakout single, "Pull It (Bullet)" from her critically-acclaimed DIY debut album, "Morning Pill" is one of the heaviest rotation songs in Australia/New Zealand.
