After the demise of their old band “dawn of fate” the 4 friends Nino, Martin, Felix and Martin decided that it was time to start something new and more powerful. After completing the line up in January 2005 with the newest member Marco (ex-Raised Hide) on guitar their way through tons of locations started. They recorded their first songs and put out a demo on the small german label Vivian records. The feedback was great and people liked their style. After releasing both songs on the Vivian records comps during 2005 and 2006 the line up of the band changed again in January 2006. Tom (ex-Raised Hide) joined the band as second vocalist and took over the clean singing parts wich brought new elements to the band sound. During that time their live performances got more powerful and the band got booked for support shows for Born From Pain, Neaera, Maroon, Narziss, Bold, Destiny, Fall Of A Season, Time Has Come or War From A Harlots Mouth. Among others they were able to inspire a local radiohost, who invited them without further ado to the studio and intorduced them on his show. Furthermore their live performances attracted the attention of the british filmteam of Pinball Films Ltd.. The team, that was working on their movie "The Other Possibility" at that time, felt that the sound and spirit of SES would serve perfectly as the soundtrack to their film. Thereupon they recorded a part of their live-performance @ Magnet-Club, Berlin and used it as the opening-sequence of the movie. After releasing their EP “forgotten the 4th track” on Vivian records, the split tape with Verona Beach from the netherlands on 1704 recordings, their mini tour with Never Put Aside and Groundzero and almost over 70 shows under their belt Tom decided to leave the band due personal reasons in the summer of 2007. After reducing the clean parts and putting more brutality into their sound Sullen Eyes Sore went to the studio in november 2007 to record their first longplayer.
