MINIPLI BORES YOURSELF A HOLE IN THE KNEE! Sie mögen Deutschpop? Sie schätzen Mia. und Wir Sind Helden für ihre freche, witzige Art und sind bewegt von den tiefen persönlichen und sozial-kritischen Texten von Herbert Grönemeyer oder Heinz-Rudolf Kunze? Dann sind Sie hier falsch! Dann sollten Sie um MINIPLI 225 einen großen Bogen machen. Denn während sich Andere mit ihrer Musik schon mal positiv auf die deutsche Nation beziehen, popkulturelle Regierungsberater mimen und ihren Mist dann auch noch dem Volksempfänger per Radio-Quote Zwangsvermitteln wollen, widmen sich MINIPLI 225 nur einer Aufgabe: MINIPLI DELETES GERMANY! Anderes ist wohl auch nicht zu erwarten von einer Band, die sich im Winter 2005 (wieder-)gründete, nur um auf einer Australien-Tour antideutsche Imagebeschmutzung zu betreiben. Zum Beispiel als offizieller deutscher Beitrag auf dem Pop-Festival der EU in der australischen Hauptstadt. Den Botschafterkindern hat’s trotzdem gefallen. Aber die beiden Bandmitglieder sind eben nicht nur ausgezeichnete Musikerinnen, sondern auch gewiefte Geschäftsleute. Und da sie wissen, dass man sich der Affirmation sowieso nicht entziehen kann, untermalen sie ihre Zersetzungsarbeit lieber gleich mit dem Soundtrack des enthemmten Massenevents: Happy Hardcore, Plasic-Hop und andere Dance-Banalitäten kicken das Publikum in den Arsch, bis es nicht mehr weiß, ob es das gut finden will oder muss. In einer Zeit, in der deutsche Popgören sich in Schwarz-Rot-Gold kleiden, mit dem Pali-Tuch von H&M bewaffnet Homophobie, Antisemitismus, Amerika- und Frauenfeindlichkeit, religiösen Eifer und Konsumverzicht predigen, greifen MINIPLI 225 die von ihren Kollegen Scooter aufgeworfene Frage „How much is the fish?“ im Sinne einer radikalen Gesellschaftskritik auf. Entgegen der postmodernen Beliebigkeit des Nu Rave, proklamieren MINIPLI 225 mit aufklärerischer Vernunft den True Rave. Schließlich geht es nicht um irgendeinen neuen Hype, sondern um nicht weniger als die gezielte Zersetzung des deutschen Volkskörpers im Popuniversum. Die Verhinderung jeglicher Kollektivität durch die Verweigerung von Authentizität und ein Höchstmass an Artifiziallität. Hier ist alles künstlich – nicht nur die Haare!
