FAYUCA is a band that started out in early 2001. Playing mostly spanish rock for the first 2 years of the band being around. But after realizing that it wasn't what they really wanted to do they began listening to bands like RX Bandits, Blink 182, 311, and Rise Againt to build an entirely new sound. While many bands sound the same now, FAYUCA is a band that sticks out...but in a good way. They take hints from hardcore style drum beats, to drum and bass style bass lines, to soulful guitar riffs, to come up with a style that pretty much has no classification. In the 3 short years that FAYUCA has been a part of the local "ska" scene they have established a very loyal following, and have released 2 full length cd's. 2004's "Walk West" and 2006's "Black Market". Both albums were released in front of sold out crowds. Additionally, the band has shared the stage with Artists like Pepper, Long Beach Shortbus, The Ziggens, The Matches, VooDoo Glow Skulls, Los Kung Fu Monkeys, The Suburban Legends and of course Arizona's very own Authority Zero. FAYUCA is now set on tracking across the country to do their first full tour. So keep a look out, because you never know when FAYUCA will be in your town to give you one of the BEST shows you have ever seen. |
