| For the unitiated the Mermaids are a three piece band whose act is part gig, part cabaret, part what-the-hell-is -going on.
A darkly comical musical show incorporating short films, surreal character narratives and varied musical styles.
These include Lenin’s Virulent Muscle, an agiti-actionist group, and Lost Vagabonds of Mordor, a troupe of unemployed performance poets and artists, and So Much More!

Music:Member Since: 11/30/2005Band Website: thelasvegasmermaids@yahoo.co.uk Band Members: The Las Vegas Mermaids are: Dave Bailes, keyboards and musical backbone of the band, a former session musician who has worked with the likes of Arthur Brown, Emma Sharpe and The Features, Lene Lovitch and Hawkwind, as well as many others. A talented metal detector and collector of bottles. Carl Anderson –vocals, bass guitar, melodica, trumpet, has appeared in several Film and Television productions, including Bridget Jones- The Edge of Reason, and The White Stripes, - Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground Music Video, a Wildman for Come Into My Parlour Productions,an animal professional and male model. Fay Greenhalgh vocals, bass guitar ‘actress’ co-producer/director for ‘Come Into My Parlour Productions’ and cabaret hussy. Keith Clarke – Dark Corner Recordings, and member of Torez, our resident sound technician, Sonic Advisor and Robert Smith Impersonator. Tony Willett - Visuals , Camera Obscura Sideshow Proprietor, and good with wood. Influences: Rehearsing in a bomb shelter, kitchen and a scout hut.
