| You can visit my website at KANEDIT aka Kane Nelson Kanes first foray into DJing came when he was approached to become a resident DJ when a friend was contemplating launching his own trance night. Though making it clear he didnt own any vinyl or hardware, Kanes passion for music convinced his friend to give him 3 months to learn how to mix in front of a paying audience. After purchasing all the equipment he needed in October 2003, except for a pair of decks and a mixer, Kane began visiting friends houses to practice on their equipment with impressive results. On February 2 2004, 200+ of Kanes friends came down to club.Zero to witness his first gig. The event was such a success prompting Kane to buy his own decks and equipment in the Summer of 2004. Keen to separate himself from new talent DJs, Kane bought decks after his short residency at Energy to compose mixed CDs for his own enjoyment and for his friends. Word of mouth is powerful though and Kane was soon asked to send copies to promoters leading him to land a gig at Pressure in November 2005. The night was a huge success with the venue filled to its capacity as they enjoyed one of their busiest evenings ever. Kane has subsequently played alongside superstars Stevie G , Will Holland (both Gatecrasher residents), and Gatecrasher resident House DJ Corey. Towards the end of 2005 Kane founded Kanedit Entertainments and launched his own web site, message forum and internet radio station which can be located at www.kanedit.co.uk Kane Nelson has truly arrived. |

Kane started running Crasher After Parties in April 2006. Since then with every Bank Holiday weekend that has followed his After Parties have evolved into something of a legendary status within the Northern Clubbing scene. It started life as Kerfuffle (run by Kane and Danny) evolving into Electrique Tonik which Kane promoted by himself introducing DJs from Anjunabeats such as Mark Pledger(Smith and Pledger) and Dan stone. Suffice to say the parties were a riotous success, earning Kane a reputation for throwing After Parties not to be missed. As the parties have developed, the name and venue have changed and the fittingly titled Morning Glory was born at the party’s new home of UNIQ. This has taken Morning Glory to a new level of success with guest DJs so far including Activa and Substate with Mike Foyle (Armada) and Stevie G (Gatecrasher Resident) both set to grace the decks very soon. Paul Pearson has been making a name for himself in the Trance Scene for the last few years and rightly deserves the credit he is starting to get. Now recruited as a Resident DJ for Morning Glory (and helpful hand to Kane behind the scenes), things are definitely looking good for the late night club scene in Sheffield- very good indeed! Morning Glory is continuing to evolve, a testament to the forward thinking of those involved and the strong following it has earned over the last year. It is now rapidly becoming part of the fabric of a Sheffield Bank Holiday Weekend.
