She married Frederick, Prince of Hesse-Homburg (1769-1829) at the private chapel in Buckingham Palace in Westminster. Elizabeth moved to Germany with her husband. On 20 January 1820, her husband Frederick succeeded his father as the Landgraf of Hesse-Homburg. Elizabeth became known as The Landgravine of Hesse-Homburg. |
