| Newmarket Music was established in Melbourne in 1993 as a distributor of Australian jazz recordings and is a company recognized for its commitment to high quality Australian music. Since its inception the number of titles released on the Newmarket Music label has grown to well over a hundred and continues to expand, including releases in the world music, blues, folk and original music genres.
Recordings released on Newmarket Music label are annually nominated for A.R.I.A. awards by the Australian Recording Industry Association. Newmarket Music has supported, released and distributed many fine Australian recordings and continues to seek unique and original recordings for distribution in Australia.
