What can I say? I'm a simple man really. I am a 37 year-old humble yet proud Mexican-American brought up on the mean streets of South Gate, alright, maybe not so mean. I currently live in East LA and I am a full-time musician and more importantly "I love my job" how many of you can honestly say that? Music is my passion, through music, I've been able to travel the world and see what this big blue marble is all about. But like they say "There's no place like home!" there's just something about LA that keeps bringing me back, ah yes!... it's mi gente. I play in many salsa bands with some of the fiercest "cats" around, such as Tabaco y Ron, Che y su barrio latino, Salsasabor, Orq. Guarare, Tumbao y Melao, Chino Espinoza y los Dueños del Son and I can't forget Rumbankete. Music:I listen to all kinds of music, but my main loves are Jazz, Latin Jazz and Salsa. Tito Puente, Chick Corea, Bud Powell, Eddie Palmieri, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Willie Bobo, Mongo Santamaria, Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, and Steve Turre are all among the "Elites" and are at the top of my list. Movies:I love Sci-Fi flicks such as the Star Wars Saga and the Alien Quadrilogy. But I'm a fan of good comedies such as, pretty much anything that Jim Carrey's in and also early Bill Murray and Eddie Murphy movies like Ghostbusters and Beverly Hills Cop. But, I do have a softer side that will occasionally go see a romantic-comedy...Did I... yeah... I Chad to...you would've Chone it too!!! |

Television:I like G4TV, TLC, and the Discovery Channel. I especially enjoy car & Big Rig restoration shows like "Pimp My Ride","Overhaulin'", and now "Trick My Truck. Man....those guys sure do know how to restore some classic beauties. But my favorite new show of the season is Heroes on NBC. |
