About Me

Boxcar Aldous Huxley was formed in Bristol in Spring 2008 by a cinema projectionist, an illustrator and an aerialist, playing banjo, harmonium and saw respectively. Further instruments and their accompanying musicians were recruited, such that euphonium, drums and clarinet can all be experienced, along with the occasional blast of souzaphone and a sombre chorus of vocals various.

As often happens in these situations, the saw player ran away to join the circus.

Their songs speak of failed revolution in 19th Century Canada, the apocryphal necrophilia of painter and muse, and related matters.
They are available for film soundtracks, funerals, and will gladly write you a campaign song to aid your run for high office, in exchange for cold hard cash, or liquor. The liquor need not be cold, though it should still be hard.

The above songs comprise a recent performance at the Cube Cinema in Bristol, supporting Curtis Eller with My Two Toms, on the 10th April 2009. They were expertly recorded by Mr James King, to whom we are very grateful.
