| "Thomas Clark Guitars" is a small guitar shop in OAKLAND CA.The focus of the shop is building acoustic steel string guitars.In addition to the steel string guitar, I've recently started to build classical guitars and simple system wood flutes.I'll be uploading songs that I've written and recorded, to give people a chance to hear the guitars, and have fun playing music.I have only just recently discoverd "my space music", and it's been great hearing all the music that's out there.Stuff you would never have been exposed to otherwise. I'll say briefly about myself, I grew up in Berkeley California. I was first exposed to the guitar as a young kid. There was a store that sold classical guitars just down the block from me. I spent hours in that store just looking at all the guitars. It was years later when I was about eighteen years old, that I began to play. The acoustic guitar has been a huge part of my life, and it's just been great to have that all these years. And to discover guitar construction and to be able to do that as well just really worked out well for me. I work professionally as a carpenter and have done so since I got out of school. I love working with wood and have had great success with woodworking. My guitar shop has been up and running, although on a limited basis for the past twelve years or so. I say limited, because this all happens around the parameters of a full time day job. I'll typically have a couple guitars under construction and will spend twelve to eighteen months to finish them.
