About Me |
|
| Flatfoot Susie is the creative brainchild of two and a half interesting individuals who wanted to create—and reintroduce South Texas to—great live music. Bringing a variety of influences and disease-free, all-around good health to the collaborative table, this band gelled rather quickly and began playing live shows within 2 weeks of meeting one another.Adam Duff had to make an early choice between isolating genomes and playing drums in a butt-kicking rock and roll band. It was a difficult conundrum, but he fortunately had the character to choose the drums. Especially after that unfortunate incident in the laboratory. His favorite color is “yes” and he prefers long midnight strolls up the hallway to the restroom.Brent “Half-Stack” Ferguson, fresh from a stint as one of the Oompah-Loompahs in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, is easily one of the greatest bass players in the South Texas scene. In addition to his ground-breaking work with underprivileged giraffes, Brent is carving a name for himself as The Only Bass Player Shorter Than His Own Amplifier (and it’s a solid state, thank you very much). He’s like the square root of a bass player. The guitar player and singer is Some Guy that spends more time with his guitars than with his family. He thinks it used to be a lot more fun hanging around guitar stores before the Sam Ash and Guitar Center folks ruined the experience. Now he just goes in, takes care of business, and comes out. His favorite sport is eating. In fact, he’s hungry right now.Flatfoot Susie is not a cover band. They are a high-voltage, creative reminder to South Texas music fans that Drunk Leathery Guys With Expensive Instruments are not necessarily musicians. When you book Flatfoot Susie, the clouds will part, the blue sky will beam with the sunshine of springtime hope, sales will skyrocket, your club or restaurant will begin trading publicly on NASDAQ, and euphoria will reign supreme. An improvisational blues/jazz/fusion experiment called "Bring It"Flatfoot Susie guitarist covers Elmore James classic .. |
