EDAM EDAM - Walking Birds is coming soon...... Comme toujours, Ben et Shyle se sont connus à la fac. Séchant pacifiquement les cours ennuyeux, et jouant dans le parc de la fac, les deux jeunes musiciens oscillent entre la formation "ukulélé - clavier " et "deux guitares acoustiques". Remplis d'ambition et de nonsens, ils jouent partout, sur le béton, dans l'herbe, dans des voitures, dans des endroits vides, des expos glauques... Le temps passe vite, ils perdent des capodastres chers, traversent 3 fois les dimensions, se trouvent sur un terrain de tennis digne de la Grande Guerre, prennent un train en plastique et mettent un chat dans un sac. Puis enfin, ils trouvent brillamment leur voie. Shyle se met à chanter dans un anglais plus que douteux, contre les conseils d'une troupe de médecins. Benjamin abandonne son opéra minimaliste en 35,2 actes, et jongle entre clavier torché et guitare. Ensemble, ils écrivent nombreuses chansons qui parlent de joies, de suicide, de culottes, de pêches qui tombent du ciel, de poissons, de dieux, et d'eux-même. Le nom EDAM EDAM est choisi à l'arrache en fonction d'un game over d'un vieux jeu d'atari. (I'm french, so I'm sorry for my bad english, of course...) Like always, Ben and Shyle met at the college. They played when they wasn't in classroom; between the formation " ukulélé - keyboard " or " two acoustic guitars." Full of ambition and nonsense, they play everywhere, on the floor, on the grass, in cars, in dirty places, in conceptuel exhibition... Time goes on, they lost a capo, cross parallel dimensions 3 times, they arrived on a tennis court witch looked like a WorldWar's place. Then, they find their way. Shyle begun to sing in a "approximative english", even if doctors don't be agree. Benjamin leave his minimalist opera in 35,2 acts and play in same time guitar and keyboard. They wrote together a lot of songs, talking about joy, suicide, panties, peaches' rain, pisces, gods, and themselves. The name of the band, EDAM EDAM, comes from a "game over" of an old game, on atari. |
