Guitar player in '70's punk band, The Gizmos (Gulcher Records), out of Bloomington, IN. Played in '80's New York City bar band, The Blue Chieftains (Diesel Only Records). Have lived in Nashville, TN since 1993. Songs I have written have been recorded by John Prine, Asleep At The Wheel, BR-549, Robbie Fulks, Kasey Chambers, Elizabeth Cook, Bare Jr., Sunny Sweeney, Sonny Burgess and others. In 1995 had my headshot on the cover of Billboard magazine with an article about Nashville's Lower Broadway music scene. In 1996 was nominated for a Nashville Music Award in the category of Best Unsigned Artist. In 1997 signed with Seymour Stein's Sire Records. In 1999 had two recordings on major motion picture soundtracks - the movie "Election" features song "Find A Way To Win" (Sire Records) and the movie "Drop Dead Gorgeous" features "A Girl That's Hip"(Sire Records). Since 2000, have moonlighted on The Grand Ol' Opry hundreds of times as sideman to my wife, Elizabeth Cook. Have also played in England, Scotland, Japan, France, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, and Korea. Released CDs - "Not For Sale" (self-released, 2000) "Free Again" (self-released, 2001) "If I Could" (Shoeshine Records, Scotland, 2001) "Always Tomorrow" (Sideburn Records, 2002) "Good Rock From Bad" (Sound Asleep Records/Sweden, 1996)(Buffalo Records/Japan, 2002) "The Devil Is A Busy Man" (self-released, 2007).
