LOS ANGELES, California United States View: Pics | Videos After the first song in front of a sold out capacity crowd in the summer of 08, Joe Strouth, the drummer for One Dying Secret, realized why he packed up his bags and moved two thousand miles across the country. It was to be a part of something bigger and more powerful then he ever could have imagined. Since that night, an indescribable bond propelled O.D.S into the following year. In just a few short months they have accomplished what most bands do in a career span, they were number three in Spin music magazine's online unsigned acts of 2008. They also took the crown for Carvin’s, “Northern California Battle of the Bands”. The proof was undeniable. The movement that is O.D.S. has solidified and is now gaining momentum. Currently the band just finished their latest EP with Dave Dominguez and Troy Glessner. Between the two they have worked with such acts as Anberlin, Papa Roach, Underoath, Stained and Guns and Roses. To add to all of this, the band has steady airplay on radio and internet stations adding to their underground national and overseas buzz. One Dying Secret has influences across the board. Ranging from U2 to Stone Temple Pilots and Kanye West to Killswitch Engaged. Their music and creative writing process is unrehearsed and unstructured. O.D S.'s live show is honest and passionate. As a matter of fact, the bands live performance is so memorable that it got them a Sammie nomination (Sacramento music award) their first year together as a band. One Dying Secret is currently touring the West Coast with plans to branch out to the Midwest this summer. Make sure you catch this act of pure sonic bliss while you have the chance.
