Reptilicus has stalked the fringes of the Icelandic musical landscape since late 1988. Honouring Scandinavian film by assuming the title of one, Reptilicus took its cue from the creativity of krautrock, the intricacies of industrial electronica, the broadcasting service of communist Bulgaria and Dada. Since the late eighties and throughout the nineties, Reptilicus issued a number of releases on tape, vinyl, anti-vinyl and CD where experiments, noise, percussion, 8mm and wind instruments fused in an electronic crucible. Currently, Reptilicus is gradually working its way towards a new release (see below) and brooding over past sonic adventures. As in the very beginning, Reptilicus comprises Johann E and G.I. Markusson. TIME BEFORE PRESENT IN MILLIONS OF YEARS Reptilicus quietly disturbs the surface after a decade of silence.
