About Me


Hi everybody, everywhere!!! Here’s David Lenders and I’d like to introduce myself to you! Well, I begin from telling u all that I’m a songwriter and I started playing guitar when I was just 8 and never stopped since then. Along the years I played almost every genre of music from classic and epic metal in my boisterous teens up to the most sophisticated stylisms of finest songwriters like Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen in a later, more mature and extremely uneasy age before becoming a devout disciple of that brit-pop-rock scene which makes the entire world dreaming! This mix of styles and knowledges brought me to write and compose the Parenthesis project: a collection of ideas I created following the complicated lines of my dreams and feelings trying to tell everything about my positive experiences as well as the gloomy ones in an easy and very personal way. All the melodies have been composed to lead everyone on a journey through rainy moods and sunny days, from stinky towns to bright countrysides, from inner frustrations up to the healing touch of love! Today Parenthesis is just a four tracks Ep that aims to become my debut album soon follwed by many, many more (also because my lifelong experience in music provided an infinite repertoire..). Longing for the day I will find an internationally effective management and production to finally perform before your eyes, let me offer you this small taste inviting you all to add suggestions and comments (hope u won’t be too severe!). Said this, I wish u all the very best life can give and.. stay tuned!!!!Parenthesis The Ep out soon on MySpace and in all the best digital stores!!!

David Lenders è un cantautore che ha imbracciato la chitarra per la prima volta a otto anni e da allora non se ne è mai più separato. Nel corso degli anni ha attraversato la musica in lungo e in largo passando da un’adolescenza classic ed epic metal ad una fase in cui ha iniziato ad avvicinarsi a stili molto più complessi, innamorandosi di Tom Waits e Leonard Cohen, per poi divenire un devoto discepolo di quella corrente british pop-rock che sta facendo sognare il mondo intero. E proprio da questo incontro con gli stili inglesi nasce il progetto Parenthesis, una collezione di brani creati seguendo la complessa linea dei propri sogni e sentimenti raccontando nel modo più semplice possibile le esperienze positive così come quelle più cupe. Le melodie e le armonie, dai brani acustici a quelli arrangiati, sono state costruite in modo da offrire un percorso sonoro orecchiabile e diretto ma, al tempo stesso, completo e curato. Al momento Parenthesis è un Ep in quattro parti che, tuttavia, ambisce a diventare presto un album di esordio al quale facciano seguito molti altri, visto che il repertorio non manca! In attesa di trovare presto un management internazionalmente efficace, e di poter esprimersi dal vivo per ognuno di voi, David vi invita quindi a gustare questo primo piccolo assaggio e chiunque abbia un commento o un suggerimento… beh, mi auguro non sarà troppo severo!
