DJ ZYLEM has been DJing, producing and remixing since around 1999. He uses a unique mixing style mashing up dancefloor beats whilst also incorporating scratching and samples for a full on live experience. He has DJ'ed all over the UK including three different Glastonbury Festivals (2002, 2005, 2007). His eclectic DJ sets range from Hip Hop, Funk, Reggae, Ska, Indie, Electro, Rock, Big Beat, House, Breakbeat, Industrial, Drum & Bass and Techno. Highlights so far include DJ sets in Barcelona, Belgrade, Budapest, as well as Earthdance Festival, USA, 2007. In 2001 he provided scratching for Transposer's single 'Comin 2 Get U’ which was released on Boobytrap Records. Later he worked with the dance group Triflesky where this time he was performing live with the band as a scratch DJ. During a six year stint in the Welsh capital he became a resident at the popular Glo Bar and was frequently DJing in venues such as Clwb Ifor Bach, The Toucan Club, Molokos, Journeys & Meze Lounge. His demos, bootlegs and mix-tapes have gained support from DJ's such as Cut La Roc, Jon Carter, Phantom Beats, DJ Whack (Ashley Slater), Bethan Elfyn (BBC Radio 1), Adam Walton (BBC Radio Wales), Cian Ciaran (Super Furry Animals), Michael Barrie Whoosh (Bentley Rhythm Ace). ***The Rapture Remix is co produced with Waldorf www.myspace.com/staedlerandwaldorf |
