Music:Member Since: 21/03/2008Band Members: ALLAN CHASE-- DRUMS,PERCUSSION __ JOHN YOUNG--BASS ___ DAIN SILVA- VOCALS,GUITAR Allan started playing drums in 1994 under the instruction of John Mears. He purchased his first kit which was a Yamaha Power-V acoustic set. He expanded this kit to include a rack, roto-toms, numerous cymbals and everything. Fourteen years later he was really impressed with the Roland electronic drums so out went the acoustic and in came the Roland TD-9SX. No more running expensive microphones and spending hours trying to get the sound just right! Inspirations & Influences are Neil Peart (should go without saying for all drummers), Nick Mensa, Nicko McBrain, Vinnie Appice, Vinnie Paul, Lars "Whiney boy" Ulrich, Travis Barker and any drummer from the history of Judas Priest or Alice Cooper. Influences: I am a singer/song writer. I also play the drums and guitar and wrote and sing all of the songs on my new CD. I play the bass, electric guitar solos and piano. The song "Walking on Rainbows" is sang and played only by me, as I wanted to show my acoustic and soloing skills and it's influenced by "Robins song" by the band "Union". The song "All Alone" is a mix between "Robert Palmer's, Addicted to Love" and "Motley Crue's, Primal Scream". It starts slow then has a cool drum break at the end of the first and last chorus. The best part of the song is near the end with cool slide rhythm change. The song In the night time starts with a 20sec acoustic guitar and then kicks in! Change and The beginning, have a nice warm feel to them. The song "she said" has a "Alex Vanhalen" drum feel with a cool bass line, it has the modern-pop style of current music.
