.. Wake to Wonder formed in august 2007 when Adam{Guitar/Vocals} and Damion{Bass} decided to start up a new project. Through a friend of friend we managed to find Paul{Guitar} who added flavour to the already impressive and unique genre that had started to form... there was just one space to fill. we needed to find a drummer, and not just any drummer, he had to have the passion and talent to keep up with the rest of the band, it was a long and strenuous task finding a drummer with such talent... until one day we heard of a young lad named Zack. We brought him in to show us what he could do. He picked up the stix and played to our songs like he had been playing with us for years ;-). The band was now complete!! We started Gigging at our local bar 'Rafters' where the response was great from the crowd. So we decided to branch ourselves out to the Jo"burg scene... it was a battle of the bands. We did not know what to expect as we had never played in this place before, we went on the stage and ripped it up!! We would of been happy with a top 3 place. (being our first gig away from home) and then the results came in... "All the way from the vaal... Wake to Wonder!"great night! great people! Ever since then we have been gigging all round the JHB and PTA area, playing gigs at places like Zeplins, Tempos, The black dahlia, Rafters, Festivals and anywhere where the Alcohol runs like the river nile;) And recently we had a live interview on TGL{DSTV} where we got the chance to play one of our songs live at urban brew studios, that was a great experience. We are hoping to play many more gigs in the future,,,,. So... We hope you will all support us! Keep supporting SA music!The meaning behind the name Wake to Wonder is simple.
