I call this event an Open-Mic for it is the simplest way to describe who we are. Make no mistake, this “label” does not does not do us justice. Yes it is an Open-Mic but Mic-Club has a soul. Mic-Club is the only night that gave the term “Mafia” a positive meaning. If you are a local musician seeking outlets that help you evolve in your craft, join the Mic-Club Mafia. We will look after you, support you and record your performance live where you get to receive mp3s via email, for free. Yes, you heard right, for free. All Mic-Club asks in return is honor our policy that caters to the artist’s needs and to be yourselves. The artistic, Musical family is unified and respects all those musicians that have the courage, the confidence and the love to become, Emotionally Naked. (a better description of “Emotionally Naked” can be heard every Thursday.) .. .. .. ......Open-Mics can be a intimidating experience, but rest assure, this is an environment where that little fear is irrelevant. . You see, if you think the meaning of the word courage is that you are not afraid, well I hate to bust your bubble that is just a bit naïve. ........ .... Courage is simple. It means doing what you must do in the face or fear, (in this case, following your heart). When you feel the fear but it is not enough to stop you from doing what you must and want to do that is called courage. At Mic-Club, we honor that courage and repay you, the artist, with love and support. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .............. .. .. .. ...... Featured Act .. .. ............ .. .. ........ .. .. ..Our featured acts are handpicked from Mic-Club’s supporters. These are folks that not only come and play, but stick around and enjoy the rest of the show. (If you visit Mic-Club, sign up, not have a drink, play and leave right after, believe you me, this is .... .... ...... not the place for you.). .. ...... Featured act begins at 9:00pm sharp until 9:50pm. Before the last song is played, the Host will make an announcement and will go around the crowd collecting donations that will all go to the featured act. .. ...... We are expanding on a positive agenda.
