| Cutting edge singer and vocalist, songwriter and dancer, Ciah was born in Sydney on 22/07/1987. She has always had a passion for music – using her inspiration and imagination for creativity is something that came naturally. Ciah’s artistic panache began in her younger years when she was a dancer and she then gradually started to focus on poetry and eventually, embarked on her lyrical talents. At the time, she collaborated with local artists; rappers and DJ’s, who provided Ciah with support, encouragement and the strength to continue further and help her develope her own style in R&B and HipHop. Coming from a persian background, Ciah tends to incorporate Middle Eastern and exotic flavours to her music.Ciah has set her heart on her music and has come so far in very little time; currently studying architecture on her final year at University; it is hard to keep up with both studies and music at the same time but there’s no stopping this girl!! In Dec 2007 her first single DJ LYNX ft Ciah “wonder” (side B of disco dodo) was released under Creative Source and reached number one and topped UK D&B charts on 1XTRA for 2 weeks!!. Her second single “Skylines” featuring DJ LYNX & KEMO under DIGITAL SOUND BOY was played by various DJ’s and also on 1Xtra Radio One . Ciah has also been afinalist in various local competitions and won an award in summer ‘08 as the South Best Urban Artist (Golden Platinum by Wedgewood Rooms); With all the hard work and Ciah’s performance ability in both live and recorded situations, she built up a loyal fan base, through which she has become recognized for her potentia and drive to make it as a succesful singer.In the future, you can expect to hear and see much more of this young talent.
