| Born in Mississippi, Will Whitlock moved to New Jersey where growing up in the savage streets of Newark. In the mist of a people oppressed and a people under duress, he learned through his pain why it is a gift to sing. Through the teaching of the people, he learned….. Thru the pain, he would give melodies to there heartache, joys and misery’s. Making you fill what they fill, every emotion…of what they’ve sustained.
Only once in a lifetime do we run across an artist that is a triple threat... Singer, songwriter, and performer. Will Whitlock is such an artist. Singing his Organic style of Classic Soul he gives you the elegant sound of the soulful past, and the rich tonality of our bright future. Not since the days of Marvin Gay and Donnie Hathaway have we had a male artist that can captivate his audience and tune in every emotion, from the first note to the last breath. He really is ,” The Pure Essence of Natural Soul”.
Will moved to Sacramento Ca were he started his industry training. Working with and opening for such artist as Motown recording artist KEM, Oscar winner Jamie Fox, MTV’s Sway and King Tech. Vocal coached Adrian Anderson of Trinitee 5:7, who are under the management of Mathew Knowles of Music World. The list goes on and on.
