Thompson" Professional stuff; recording engineering, drumming/touring, currently out with Southern Hauler, and with Rex Oggs. I am available for one-off shows, session work or demos at any level when I'm in (your) town. Let's make some music- it's my job, my passion, my hobby and my life. I've been playing professionally for a number of years, and love to contribute to other's projects. I've worked as an assistant recording engineer for most of the major labels, on albums for Alan Jackson, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Jamie O'Neal, Catherine Britt, The Wrights, Kenny Rogers, Terri Clark and many, many others. I write, sing and play guitar when nobody's watching. I've been fortunate over the years to be in several great bands playing rock, country, blues, covers, originals-about anything. If I'm off the road, hit me up for sessions or gigs-I'd rather be drumming than sittin' around.. Personal stuff; I am optimistic, pretty laid-back, reasonably educated, friendly and hopefully a good friend to those in my life. I am known to be sarcastic, possibly to the point of being a smartass, but I'm harmless. A low tolerance for morons, liars, cheaters, social climbers and people who have no idea who they are- or think they're somebody they're not. I love creative people, new friends and new experiences. Most of the people around me are musicians, artists or other fun, quirky, offbeat people, and there's probably room for one more.. |
