| Audio Habitat wurde 2004 von Imagination D, Stints, Scepticc und Atomic Dread ins Leben gerufen um den musikalischen Kollaborationen einen Namen zu geben. Die vier sind quasi im selben Dorf aufgewachsen und teilen ihre Liebe zu gebrochenen Beats seit 1992.
Imagination D zeigte sein musikalisches Können bei Events wie Future, Kings of Jungle, Made in Germany, das Beben, Crime, Rude Club, Shakka und Dynamite Club seit 1994.
2000 hatte er seinen ersten Release auf Magic Vinyl Recordings und konnte seit dem etliche weitere auf diversen Labels nachschieben.
Stints, a.k.a Smoking Monkey, ist mittlerweile ein Urgestein der deutschen D&B Szene, mit Releases auf seinem eigenem Imprint “MagicVinyl” und “Darkland Records” und etlichen DJ Performances wie z.B.: Kings of Jungle, Made in Germany, Echoes from the Future, Rude Club und Phaze Club hat er sich auch über die deutschen Grenzen hinaus einen Namen gemacht.
Im Mai 2008 released das Label Black Reign Recordings das erste Audio Habitat Album mit dem Namen Mystification.
