Gramegna è nata nel dicembre 2000 da tre membri degli helghast: Diego N., Paolo C. e Stefano Z. (anche ex- falange amata) a cui si è aggiunta poco dopo Isa A.. La ricerca di canzoni di impatto caratterizza da sempre il gruppo, i pezzi sono coincisi e vari, senza improbabili virtuosismi. Nel corso del tempo le canzoni plasmate da Stefano & Co. hanno ampliato le loro influenze e ad oggi permane difficile classificarle in un genere definito. Gramegna non ha mai avuto vita facile; per impegni e “sfighe” anche pesanti siamo stati costretti a portare avanti il gruppo provando di domenica mattina oppure rarefacendo le prove in appuntamenti quasi casuali. Gramegna live ha fatto il suo esordio nel 2001 con circa 10 minuti (3 canzoni) di repertorio, vari live sono stati effettuati nel corso del tempo e in disparate circostanze fino al 2003. Un duro colpo blocca Gramegna: Paolo C. lascia il gruppo. La ricerca di un nuovo batterista, i molteplici provini, le numerose fini di nuovi inizi, ci porterebbero quasi ai giorni d’oggi se non fosse per una metamorfosi degna di nota intrapresa dal gruppo: il progetto 7brains, con riproposizione delle canzoni in chiave slow-gramegna culminata in un unico evento live e conseguente allontanamento del batterista. In seguito è stato attivato il side project (remain the) Substance, con nuove sonorità assorbite dal techno-industrial, autentica passione per taluni componenti, e drum-machine in assenza di un batterista. Sono state prodotte 3 canzoni attualmente ancora in fase di perfezionamento. Ed eccoci al riattecchimento del seme; con Kleverson I. il nuovo batterista stiamo rispolverando i nostri pezzi e presto ne saranno prodotti di nuovi, nell’attesa ci saranno nuovi Gramegna live. Gramegna was born in December 2000 by three members of Helghast: Diego N., Paolo C. and Stefano Z.(Also ex falange amata) and shortly after Isa A. complete the band. Gramegna is an dialect word that means couch grass (gramigna), but it can mean also an thought gripped in your head that don’t let you sleep. Finding impact and powerfull sound has always characterized the group, the songs are concise and various without any improbable virtuosism. Later the songs shaped by Stefano & Co. have expanded their influences and today remain difficult to classify them to a defined genre. Gramegna never had life easy for large amount of unlucky circumstances. Gramegna made his live debut in 2001 with about 10 minutes (3 songs) repertoire, several live have been performed in disparate circumstances until 2003. Again winter for Gramegna: Paolo C. leave the group. Then the research of a new drummer, multiple screen test, the many end of new beginnings, leads almost to the present day separate for a metamorphosis undertaken by the group: the 7brains project with re-proposal of the songs in a slow-gramegna key culminated in a single event live and subsequent expulsion of the drummer. (Stefano Z. has sentenced the drummer on the floor of the live show) Then was activated side project (remain the) Substance, with new sounds absorbed by the techno-industrial, real passion for certain components, and drum-machine. 3 songs were produced but never finalized. And now the day of the seed takes roots again; with Kleverson I. The new drummer we are shining our song and soon new will be produced, in the while there will be new Gramegna live. |
