About Me |
|
...is:... a listing of NYC bands that's been around in some form or other since early 2003. The guys who run the site have also been writing the news section, as well as reviews and feature articles, for The Deli Magazine since its first issue....is not:...a free-for-all. We don't list every band that has a show. We focus on bands we have seen live. Then, if we have time, we turn our attention to other bands we like that, for one reason or another, we just haven't been able to see yet.booking:We often get involved with booking, having co-sponsored shows with The Deli Magazine and the late Beg Yr Pardon . We cometime handle booking for Hot Rocks --- a party that features live bands, with DJs playing fifties and sixties party music between and after sets. It's fun. If you're interested in playing, let us know.some bands who've played shows we booked: A Place To Bury Strangers, Abigail Warchild, The Affair, Aldenbarton, Americans UK, Apes & Androids, The Art Of Shooting, The Attorneys, Autodrone, Baker (Boston), Bella Noir, Big, The Bosch, Bottle Up & Go, Bridges And Powerlines, Career Club, Chop Shop, Creaky Boards, Cruel Black Dove, DraculaZombieUSA, Earl Greyhound, El Jezel, Emma La Reina, The Diggs, The Fatales, Frauke, Goes Cube, Gold & Gunmetal, Gold Streets, The Isles, Le Rug, Low-Beam, Luff, Man In Gray, Mancino, Maple Stave (Durham), Mistakes, Monster Eiffel Tower, Morning Theft, The Naked Hearts, The Problem, Proton Proton, Renminbi, Rotary Downs (New Orleans), Rowboats, Russian Vogue, The Secret Life Of Sofia, The Self Righteous Brothers (Boston), Sexy Champions, She Keeps Bees, The Silent Years, Standing Nudes, The Subjects, Sure Juror, Taxi Taxi, Unsacred Hearts, Up The Empire, The Vandelles, Western Civ (Chapel Hill), Zero Spanish contact:If we haven't yet covered you and you'd like us to do so either here or in The Deli Magazine, please DO NOT SEND US MASS EMAILS OR ADD US TO YOUR MAILING LIST WITHOUT PERMISSION -- contact us directly about sending CDs, or attending shows. If you don't have our email address, please send us a message on MySpace.Thanks.
