Although she loved to sing as a kid, Sonia Martinez's gospel music ministry actually began 10 years ago when she started to sing at her local church in Houston, TX. Afterwards, she advanced to song-writing and thus would often dream of recording a Latin gospel album. Nevertheless, she was content with singing and ministering at her local church, and other surrounding christian events for many years, prior to her pursuit in a gospel music career. It wasn't until mid 2007, with the extra push and motivation from her husband, Mario Martinez, that she began to record a latin gospel album, finally fulfilling her dreams of singing and ministering for God's glory through a music production. During the course of her recording, Sonia went through the unimaginable suffering of losing her husband in an accident, and finishing her album deemed impossible. In spite of her tragic loss, her heart was set on delivering the message of salvation, hope and restoration through her song lyrics and music, and was greatly supported by the church saints, as well as friends, and relatives prompting her to proceed with her album recording. Her album titled "Te extraño", was finally released in mid March of 2008. A very special public thanks goes out to Rev. Jorge Mendizabal and Rosario Mendizabal and to all the members of Mundo Pentecostal in Pasadena, TX, by whom with their prayers and support, have helped make this project possible...... God bless all, Sonia Martinez Acerca de Sonia Martinez Aunque amaba cantar de niña, el ministerio musical evangelistico de Sonia Martinez realmente comenzó hace 10 años atras cuando comenzó a cantar en su iglesia local en Houston, Texas. Después, comenzó a escribir canciones y a soñar con grabar un álbum de música cristiana en español. Por lo pronto, Sonia estaba feliz de cantar y ministrar en su iglesia local, y otros eventos cristianos en diversas áreas, antes de comenzar su carrera musical. No fue sino hasta mediados del año 2007, con el apoyo y motivación de su esposo, Mario Martinez, que ella comenzó a grabar un álbum de música cristiana en español. Por fin estaba cumpliendo su sueño de cantar y ministrar para la gloria de Dios a través de una producción musical. Durante el curso de tal grabación, Sonia sufrió la inesperada pérdida de su amado esposo en un accidente y el terminar la grabación de su álbum parecía algo imposible. A pesar de tan grande tribulación, Sonia estaba decidida a compartir el mensaje de salvación, esperanza y restauración a través de las letras y melodías de sus canciones. Fue apoyada grandemente por los miembros de su iglesia, así como por amigos y parientes que la alentaban a continuar el proyecto de grabación. Su álbum, titulado "Te Extraño," vio la luz a mediados de Marzo del año 2008. Un agradecimiento público muy especial para el pastor Jorge Mendizabal y su esposa Rosario, y a todos los miembros de Mundo Pentecostal en Pasadena, Texas, que con sus oraciones y apoyo ayudaron a hacer este proyecto una realidad. ¡Dios les bendiga a todos!
